I simply love Colorado! Colorado has so much to offer and truly accommodates all tastes. I love the hot summers and four distinct seasons, the fall leaves are always so dramatic and make for the best pictures.
Winter for me is my favorite season, skiing at any one if the 8 local resorts or tubing in Fraser, just outside Winter Park. I often take my kids, Jade and Jordan, tubing in Fraser as they have one of the best hills in Colorado. Ask any local! No walking up this hill and wasting energy, just sit in the tube and let the rope pulley do all the work!
With Denver having 5 professional sports teams there is never a shortage of sporting events….football in the winter and baseball in the summer for me.
The 4th of July baseball game at Coors field has become our family tradition and the fireworks show after the game is certainly the best in the city and huge crowd pleaser.
With the recent expansion of downtown, affectionately known as LoDo, (Lower Downtown) the nightlife is exceptional. Living here for the past 14 years, I have seen the growth of LoDo, The Highlands, Five Points and surrounding areas just take off. Being from Europe I enjoy dining out and experiencing different restaurants. One of things I missed when I moved to Denver was a diverse culinary choice. That has certainly changed, Denver now provides enough culinary choice to satisfy the most ardent critic!
Denver is truly no longer a “Cattle Town”!
Fourteen years ago I decided that I wanted more out of life, not that living in London was boring, far from it. Living in London was one of the greats times of my life.
I had grown up in South Africa and moved to England shortly after graduating.
Ten years of London, and having my daughter Jade, it was time for a change. Actually, more like a calling to pack up my family and move half way around the world. I have never really worked out why Colorado and we are certainly not complaining.
But when you move for “lifestyle” and not for work you get to pick where ever you want to live. So why not New York, why not San Diego, why not Wichita Kansas? Colorado provided all that we were looking for!
Getting into real estate was more of a natural progression for me.
When I moved to Denver, I did not move for jobs or careers, we moved for lifestyle. This really gave us the freedom to do what we wanted.
I had previously been a loan officer in London so it was a natural progression to continue in the same line of work and after four months of moving to Colorado, the need to pay rent and the bills quickly became a priority.
This left my wife to bring up our two kids, and never being one to just sit around and have tea at 3pm with her friends, she wanted to find a career that would keep her busy but also allow her the freedom to raise our kids.
Through a good friend, my wife found real estate and has never looked back.
After six years, my wife was doing very well and became too busy to keep growing the business on her own, so we decided to team up.
We are both very social, some may say extrovert. We love working with people and helping them find the perfect home. Buying a home is an extremely personal process and being part of that is very rewarding.
Trust and communication is key to everything that we do.
